» Khmer for Khmer Organization

Khmer for Khmer Organization is a charitable non-governmental organization supporting local communities with three main areas of expertise: It provides free English classes and vocational training as tailors and motorbike mechanics. The project also offers bicycle, motorbike and trekking tours for tourists. Finally, there is a project that designs items with recycled tyres.

History & Philosophy

KKO was founded in 2009 by Director, Mrs. Moeun Phary and President, Mr. Markus Tigges. When Phary was at the head of a private school, she realized that too many children had to drop off school because they could no longer afford the expensive fees. This is what gave her the idea to provide free classes and a variety of vocational trainings. Most of the expenses are covered by the profit made out of the sales of tourists tours and recycled-tyres' items.
